Our Heroes Remembered: The Great War

You may have seen a small article in the Spring 2014 Newsletter regarding the run up to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War. We ask if there are any surviving relatives of local known casualties of World War One. A list of casualties has been put together giving locations of their final resting places, which can be seen below, together with the list of local  men killed, details of whom have  been taken from the Memorial at Coven.

We would like to hear from anyone who may have a story to tell about their ancestors who served in the conflict or maybe have photographs they would like to share with us. In addition, we would also like to know of the soldiers who survived the war and came back home to carry on with their lives. Please contact Mr P. Smith on 07584 087 495 or you can leave feedback here on the website using the forum link.
