Proposals for Doctors Surgery - now available online

A public consultation event was held on Thursday 14th June 3.00pm to 8.00pm to exhibit proposals for the proposed doctor's surgery on land opposite St Mary's RC Church off Kiddemore Green Road in Brewood. Held at Brewood Methodist Church Hall, School Road, Brewood ST19 9DS the event provided an opportunity for the community to view the proposals and ask questions of the design team. Details were also made available at Brewood Library off Newport Street.

The proposal previously exhibited is now available here: site layout, plans, aerial view. If you would like to share your views on the proposal with the Parish Council and the wider community please use the 'Forum' on this web site. The Parish Council is not aware that any plans have as yet been submitted to South Staffordshire Council, the local planning authority, although it is understood they are due to be submitted in the next few weeks. A copy of the plans will be forwarded to the Parish Council offices when they are available. It is not known whether the plans will include any changes to the published proposal.

New Exercise Class for the Over-60s

A new exercise class is starting at Brewood Middle School on the 16th April.

The classes are run by a fully trained instructor and will be one of four new classes starting in the district in April to join the eight already up and running.

"It’s a gentle exercise class, targeting over-60s men and women. We will do a variety of different exercises, using resistance bands, balls etc, and even get the parachute out on occasions to keep the variety up."

Starting at 9.30, with free refreshments afterwards, the cost per class is just £2.
